activities. In 2020 Vex Robotics Championship, one of our robotics teams has gained the best design award and is going to represent us in the Vex
Robotics Wold Championship in the USA.
We have been in cooperation with the universities in Eskişehir since our school was founded. With a protocol signed between OsmangaziUniversity
and PrivateÇağdaşSchools, teachers have been taking seminars from the lecturers. Thus, we can make academic contributions to this project. The
other cooperation that we undertake is about Modelling European Union. We are going to host a conference on the EU day and conduct a simulation
of EU,as well.In Primary school,we have an E-twinnning Project about climate change.
Çağdaş Schools wants to be a part of this project, because we live in a country which houses more than 4 million refugees. We aim to create
mindfulness among people around us and the aim of this project is to achieve this purpose via stories. As teachers,we believe that stories have an
incredible power on young learners. If we want to change the negative perception towards refugees, we should start from the kids and stories are
great tools for this aim. We want take part in changing the perception of refugees in a positive way. Also, last year, we carried our a perception study
about refugees with our high school students and we saw that we need to change the perception of the students about refugees. Another value that
we can add to this project is our writing expertize. We have been carrying out a NANOWRIMO PROJECT (a story writing project) with our language
teachers for 2 years.
